A First Look at Chicagoland’s El Tapeo

Are you ready for some authentic tapas dining Chicago? Here at Celebrity Chef, we are excited to announce the grand opening of the new contemporary Spanish restaurant, El Tapeo, opening July 24th. The restaurant will be opening in the brand new 5 star hotel, Le Méridien Chicago, located at Oakbrook Center, 2100 Spring Road in Oak Brook.

The authentic spanish cuisine will be created by the Chicago grown Chef Franco Diaz. Chef Diaz firmly believes in the using the highest quality ingredients in his dishes. This allows him to create dishes such as Croquetas de Marisco (crispy shellfish fritters and piquillo aioli) and Paella de Langosta (bomba rice, maine lobster, spicy chorizo, mushroom, mussels, lemon and garlic aioli). The meal will also be accompanied by a variety of specialty Spanish wines and champagnes as well as selective beers. Furthermore, El Tapeo will provide its guests with overwhelming views of downtown Chicago with floor-to-ceiling wrap around windows, while they dine at the elegant 25-seat lounge or the 12-seat bar. This venue will draw in a large crowd, so dress to impress while you enjoy your meal at one of the newest Chicago restaurants.
