3 Easy Steps For A Hard Shell Taco

This week, FoodBeast unleashed the hack of all kitchen life hacks: creating the perfect hard shell taco out of a soft tortilla.

Now you may be wondering, why wouldn’t I just buy hard shell tacos? 

Well, let’s say it’s a rainy Saturday afternoon and you’re binge watching Netflix when suddenly you get the most powerful craving for tacos. But the only thing in your fridge is a bag of soft tortillas – which are fine but you really need that crunch factor. Ground beef, salsa, guac, sour cream, shredded cheese…and then that perfectly crispy first bite. You’re too lazy to drag yourself out of the house to buy the real deal, and also too broke. Solution: make proper use of what you already have.

1.)  Grab a microwaveable cup or mug. Place soft tortilla inside.

2.) Cook for up to a minute, keeping watch for epic explosions. Power and time settings may vary.

3.) Remove from mug and be amazed. The almighty taco holds up well in perfect shape. Now, load up!

 

See, just when you thought you had to put actual effort into cooking, the Internet comes along to enable your slothfulness.

Bonus tip: Go for corn tortillas for better texture.
